Ethical Supply Chain

  • General Requirements
    • Al-Ittefaq Steel Products Co. requires certain standards from its direct suppliers. The organization is expecting that all of its suppliers support Al-Ittefaq Steel Products Co.’s commitment to Responsible Sourcing Policy by taking full ownership and responsibility of their supply chain production line.

  • Health & Safety:
    • The organization expects its suppliers to provide a safe and healthy work environment to all of its employees and having good housekeeping in their facilities.
    • The supplier shall ensure its employees to have access to drinkable water, resting areas and proper training.

  • Labor Practices:
    • No Child Labor:
    • The supplier should not provide any employment to children who did not finish their mandatory education or anyone under the age of 18. Children that are under the age of 18 should not be deprived of learning as well as assigning them with dangerous task. The supplier should abide by these laws and should report any child labor or human trafficking.

  • Working hours:
    • The supplier is expected to follow with the legal working hours that was set by the country and if an employee is working overtime then it must be the employee’s choice with proper compensation.

  • Fair wages:
    • The supplier is expected to meet the minimum requirement set by national norm

  • Business Integrity
    • Compliance with the laws, and international standards
      • The organization requires all supplies to comply with the law of the country in which they are operating; this includes all laws of international trading, sanctions and export control. The organization requires the suppliers to adapt and implement their own ethical management system
    • Bribery
      • The organization demands that the supplier should never accept any bribery and corruption of any kind.
      • The organization requires all suppliers to have a proper anti bribery system and all the concerned staff are trained on it.
